We’ve been all over the world and seen the same cooky-cutter city tours everywhere. But we don’t like set trails and time limits. We don’t like if we have to adapt to the needs of complete strangers or follow an umbrella. And we also don’t like if we’re inundated with information we’ll soon forget. After 16 years of longing and dreaming, we’ve finally created UrbanGo to give people the experience of a city tour that is more exciting and versatile with no time limit and no strings attached.
We love self-guided tours where you can feel as free as you want. We prefer to discover areas with family or friends, and we prefer to be free to stop any time we want to contemplate the landscape, take a photo, or have a drink. However, it is useful to have ‘an invisible hand’ guiding us to happen upon to the most beautiful and exciting locations in town. That’s why we’ve incorporated all this into an exciting game. To give people from all ages and all walks of life the joy of cracking clues and completing playful challenges, we have blended city tours with escape game and treasure hunt.
We started in 2015 with 1 trail and 150 players, today we have 9 trails and 20 000 people have played with us.

Réka is one of the co-founders of UrbanGo. She’s the chief organiser of between-group competitions. She’s the one who presents the rules of the game to you and announces the winners at the end. Réka has great attention to detail and pulls out all the stops to ensure that you have the best experience you can possibly have. What she enjoys most is designing the trails and hearing about your experiences so that she can figure out how to enhance the UrbanGo-experience even more.
Bea is the other co-founder of UrbanGo. Wake her up mid-sleep, and she’ll immediately tell you some great ideas about the station stops. She’s also responsible for the UrbanGo design and putting up posts and commenting on them. Bea is over the moon when the highest quality prevails, and five-star reviews are pouring in. That’s when she knows that they are on the right track.
She knows all the information - she works to make your meeting with us an experience from the very first moment. She answers the calls and the emails, whether it’s an inquiry, a request for a quote, a change of date, or a cancellation. She responds kindly to all letters, organizes corporate team buildings and handles invoicing processes.
If you need help, Petra will be at the other end of the line (or mobile app). Petra keeps an eye on all the groups from a distance, and if you have any questions, she is there to respond immediately. She’s not only there while you’re in the game, but she’ll call you after to ask about your experience and respond to any questions you’ve been left with.
There’s no fun and adventure without Brigi. She’s the one who ensures there’s nothing missing from the little treasure hunting bags before she brings them to the starting point.
If it’s a between-group competition or corporate team building, it’s Döme who is there for you. He announces the rules before the game begins, he manages the ‘combat situations’ between the groups, and helps if the groups get stuck. At the end he’s the one announcing the winner and he’ll be more than happy to hear about your experiences.
If it’s a between-group competition or corporate team building, Kinga is the other person who is there for you. She’ll do exactly the same as Döme.
